We're particularly proud of our partnership with the government to train local people for hospitality jobs.

In fact, 90% of the 600 direct jobs created so far have been filled by individuals from surrounding communities. Other social responsibility projects include the donation of a potable water system that serves 10,000 people, an investment of more than $3 million in road infrastructure, and the donation of land for a bilingual high school in a nearby town.

Costa Elena shares a border with the Guanacaste Conservation Area (ACG)—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most biodiverse regions in Central America. Here, tropical dry forests, volcanoes, and coral reefs stretch across protected land where nature is not only preserved but thriving.
